BALTIMORE (KDKA) – Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus ahead of Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that the Ravens starting quarterback has tested positive for COVID-19. The positive coronavirus test means Jackson will not be able to play on Sunday.

Thursday is the fourth day in a row the Ravens have had more positive COVID-19 cases.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that four other Ravens players and a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday. Sunday’s game is currently “but the chances of it being played are dwindling rapidly,” Schefter said.

Schefter also reported that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the team that no one is allowed to return to the facility until Monday at the earliest.

On Wednesday, the NFL announced that the Steelers-Ravens game originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night would be postponed to Sunday at 1:15 p.m. due to the Baltimore coronavirus outbreak.

A Ravens employee was also sanctioned in connection with the epidemic.

This is not the first time the Steelers have had a rescheduled game due to COVID-19 testing among their opponents. They lost their scheduled first week off when the Tennesee Titans reported positive coronavirus cases.
