The Dodgers were competing today for two days in front of the Rays after their 7-3 win in confidence. Things did not go so well this time, while Rich Hill started well, but the pen was erased and the bats were unlucky in an 8-1 loss.

Hill started well for the second consecutive start, eliminating seven and allowing only two steps and four singles off the track.

Seriously, it's 12 balls with an xBA greater than .350 that were outs. It was comical.
They had one (1) run on a Max Muncy dong at least.
Yet, that was not the main problem. Basically, the only problem the Dodgers have this season has been the feather and it has appeared today.
With Pedro Baez"Knee gets fucked without knowing where Julio Urias is at or they should even use it at this point, Dave Roberts had basically Dylan Floro and Caleb Ferguson as semi-reliable rescue options that are probably best suited for 6th / 7th roll roles.
Roberts eventually reduced the two to seventh place and conceded seven innings of four hits, two home runs and one walk, without Floro recording an out. Ross Stripling got the 8th and also gave a shot but at least a scoreless frame.
Never mind, the offensive was not going to fill that deficit in the last six outings and that was the end of the situation.

The Dodgers fall to 32-18 with defeat and now have 6 games ahead of the Padres of the NL West.
They still have another day off the road as they travel to Pittsburgh to face the Pirates, which is certainly good for them, but boring for the fans, damn it. Whatever the case may be, this series will start Friday at 1:05 pm EST / 4:05 pm PST / 7:05 pm EST with Walker Buehler facing … someone (???).
