Razer's new Stealth Blade can run Doom at 60 frames per second.

Razer has refreshed its Blade Stealth laptops for 2019. Three new configurations are available, each delivered with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, one of Intel's 10th-generation Ice Lake processors that integrates Iris Plus graphics.

Two of these configurations have TDP 15W processors, which would worry me if they were not also equipped with the Nvidia GTX 1650 discrete GPU by default. This year, Blade Stealth is particularly adept at playing intensely graphic games at smooth gaming speeds. According to Nvidia, this card can work Apex Legends at maximum settings, and during my time with this machine, it tore and tore through Condemn (2016) at 60 frames per second in 1080p, with all optimized graphics settings.

Another model with Razer's new "Mercury White" color option uses a 25-W TDP processor with built-in graphics instead of the Nvidia GPU. This is Razer's Ultrabook entry for 2019 and whatever you want if you're looking for the lightest and most energy-efficient notebook it sells this year. Intel says that Iris Plus graphics will allow you to play some games in 1080p and will probably perform much better than previous versions of Blade Stealth. However, my colleague Sean Hollister wrote in an explanatory 10th generation Ice Lake statement that it may be out of the question to have extremely smooth frame rates, even with games that are not well known to them. great consumption of resources.

There are several other interesting additions found throughout this new range. All have 16 GB of fast dual channel LPDDR4 RAM of 3.733 MHz, a significant improvement over the LPDDR3 2133 MHz RAM of the previous version. All models also include PCIe M.2 SSDs by default. When testing on different portable USB-C SSDs, we found that the Thunderbolt 3 performance of the previous base model was wasted by the M.2 SATA drive. It is therefore a quick upgrade.

All the good things are still there, like a trackpad with Windows Precision drivers, a backlit keyboard, a 13.3-inch screen with thin casings, a Thunderbolt 3 port and a nice build quality.

Razer does not yet share the prices of the new Blade Stealth lineup, but we'll update this post once it's released. We have published the specifications for the three configurations below.
