“ We’re going to bring something that viewers have never seen, ” Jen said.
The Salt Lake City location serves as a unique touch to the world of housewives, as the capital of Utah is known to be the world headquarters of the Mormon Church.
“The religion here, the dominant religion, which is Mormonism, is very ingrained in today’s culture,” Shah explained. “Everyone has to be at their best and be the best.
While Mormonism is the predominant religion in SLC, the cast will offer a more diverse background with the Islamic, Jewish, and Pentecostal religions represented.

“ It will show the thread of religion – how it has influenced all of our lives in any way – and the direction we all have taken to live here in Salt Lake City, ” Jen revealed.
As for her own journey, the 46-year-old converted from Mormonism to Islam after learning of the mistreatment of blacks in the Mormon religion.
Meanwhile, Jen is busier than ever as the CEO of three marketing companies and the mother of two boys she shares with husband Sharrieff.
This season Jen will find herself in a pretty tangled web, in conflict with one of her castmates, Mary Cosby.
Drama: This season, Jen will find herself in a pretty tangled web, in conflict with one of her castmates, Mary Cosby; Mary’s husband was her stepfather
Mary has a complicated marriage – her husband was once married to her grandmother. There is no blood relationship, but for a while he was her stepfather.
Before the show started, Jen said Mary approached her in an attempt to explain the unconventional relationship.
“She says, ‘Well, I married my grandpa, but that’s because my grandma put it in her will,” Jen recalls. “ When she told me that, honestly, I was kind of like, okay whatever. I didn’t know if it was like a religious thing, you know? And so at that point I thought, well, okay, if you’re cool, then I’m cool with you.
Needless to say, the co-stars won’t stay “cool” in the first season, and the subject of Mary’s husband becomes “the elephant in the room.”
“Why not fix it? Jen asked. “If the ladies are a bit like, ‘no, no, no, Mary… no, she’s so awesome. She has a lot of Chanel [bags]”Okay, and she married her grandpa. Like, you just jumped on it.”
“Why don’t we talk about this? It’s weird, ” the reality TV star thought to herself. She added that her fellow housewives seem to be glossing over Mary’s love life.

This season, Jen and Mary’s friendship is having a rough time, but Jen insists their beef has nothing to do with Mary’s husband.
