The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby reveals why she married her stepfather: ‘It was sort of in my grandmother’s will’
The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby shared the story of her marriage to her stepfather, Robert Cosby Sr.
The couple got married 21 years ago after Mary’s grandmother died, who wanted her husband to marry one of her “daughters” in case something happened to her.
“ We were kind of, I would say, an arranged marriage, ” Mary said in a teaser obtained by People. “It was sort of in my grandmother’s will that we got married.

Robert said his late wife was behind the wedding.
“She said, ‘If anything happens to me, Bobby, I want you to marry one of my daughters because they’ll be looking after you,’ he recalls.
“We are blessed to this day because of it,” added Mary.
Now the couple share a teenage son and are approaching their 22nd birthday.

Unsurprisingly, Mary’s costars found the arrangement “bizarre”.
“I don’t care if it’s your biological grandfather, stepfather, it’s weird, okay !? Jen Shah said.
“I love my grandfathers, but I wouldn’t want to be married to them,” said new housewife Heather Gay.

“And I’m a Mormon and we have a lot of leeway for a lot of weird shit,” she joked.
However, none of this bothered Mary.
“They’ll get over it,” insisted the new reality TV star. “Digest it.
Mary was 22 when her grandmother died in 1997 and was “ forced ” to marry Robert, 42, according to Page Six.
Mary is one of six new women starring at the all-new Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City.
Viewers will be able to meet the new housewives tonight in the Season 1 premiere, which airs on Bravo at 10 p.m. ET.
