Final Fantasy 7 Remake gets a real-life stealth game that will let players experience the first chapter of the acclaimed title.
An actual stealth game is both similar and opposite to that of an escape room. Similar in that both consist of a team of real players working together to achieve a common goal, and vice versa in that one sees the team trying to escape from a facility, while the other sees them infiltrate a facility. Japan enjoys making both games based on popular anime and video game franchises, and they decided to do an undercover style for Final Fantasy 7 remake.
Stealth game creator Scrap recently announced they are hosting a collaboration event with Final Fantasy 7 remake. On December 9, on the fourth floor of Tokyo Mystery Circus in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Scrap will host an infiltration game based on Final Fantasy 7 remake titled “Destroy Mako 1 Reactor.” The game will turn players into members of the eco-terrorist group Avalanche and task them with helping Cloud, Tifa, and Barret take down Mako Reactor 1.
Basically, the participants play the first chapter of Final Fantasy 7 remake in real life. The event will allow up to three players to tackle the game at any time. To win, players must complete the game within 30 minutes of starting the mission, and they will lose time if Shinra soldiers shoot them. The full event itself can last anywhere from 40 to 100 minutes. It all depends on the player. The ad below gives a general idea of what to expect from the game.

Unfortunately, this event is reserved for Japan, so all interested international parties must already be present. That, or they will have to plan to spend money to get there in addition to other existing costs, such as entrance tickets. A ticket for one costs 3,000 yen, or about $ 30. Those who signed up for the Scraps monthly subscription can purchase reservation tickets starting today. Everyone else will have to wait until November 16. For those who buy tickets now, Scrap is running a promotion that will give them a Final Fantasy 7 remake Bonus Phoenix Down fountain pen.
Fortunately, although this event is exclusive to Japan, Final Fantasy 7 remake itself is not. Square Enix has already announced that it has the sequel to the game in development. The exact release date of this sequel remains a mystery, but it should be released sooner than Part 1. In the meantime, those who haven’t completed Part 1 or just want to come back to the world of FF7 can do this using the new backwards compatibility features of the PlayStation 5.
