McEntire was previously married to Blackstock’s father, Norville Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015.

“Have you had the opportunity to guide her or offer her advice… as she goes through her divorce, as a wife and mother in the spotlight? McEntire was asked by Alecia Davis of Extra.

“You know, I love them both,” the country music star replied. “Brandon is my stepson, Kelly is my good friend… I shoot for both of them.”

Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences” after about seven years of marriage to Blackstock. The couple share daughter River, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4.

From the outset, Clarkson was ordered to pay Blackstock $ 150,000 each month in spousal support. On top of that, Clarkson must pay Blackstock $ 45,601 each month for child support, according to People magazine.
