Rebel Wilson has revealed that she was previously kidnapped while on a trip to Mozambique.
the Perfect actress, 40, first shared her story with Sky One’s Ant Middleton on an episode of “Straight Talking” when asked about the most frightening situation she has ever found herself in. “There was once in Africa where I was kidnapped,” she told him.
Wilson said she was in a cattle truck with a group of women when men “with the big guns” in another truck pulled up beside them.
“[They] were like, ‘You have to get out of your truck’, ”she recalls. “They took us to this house in the middle of nowhere.”
Although the Australian actress did not give details on who she was with, she did say she was the ‘team leader’.
“I feel like I was very good during the crisis,” she explained. “They made us sit down. I said, “Everyone tie their arms,” I’m petrified the night they might want to take one of the girls or something. Fortunately, we were not injured.
The next day, the women were released.
“They came over and said, ‘Oh, your truck is ready now you can go – come on, come on,’ you know. So we didn’t ask any questions, we got back in that truck and just came back from there and crossed the South African border a few hours later, ”Wilson continued. “I think maybe these guys used us to smuggle illegal stuff through the back of the truck.
Wilson has not disclosed when the incident took place, however, fear has not seemed to prevent the star from traveling or living her best life in 2020.
