Unfortunately, the Lakers were unable to become the 15th team to beat the Bucks after losing to Milwaukee 131-120. However, they have come close together and Brandon Ingram has played an important role in their efforts.
Ingram could literally not miss in the first half, passing 8 to 8 of the peloton to the first two frames. He finally missed his first shot, but still finished the night with 31 points on an effective 13-21 shot on the field, with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and one block.
Ingram has had some big games in recent weeks, but he showed he was not afraid of bright lights by dominating the league's best team. It's a shame that it's a loss.
Of course, you can not talk about the Lakers without talking about LeBron James.
In 39 minutes for the Lakers, James scored 31 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Ingram was four years old when James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with first choice in 2003.
There are no moral victories in basketball, especially with a team fighting for the playoffs, but it was a fun match against the best team in the league. It's worthless in the column of victories, but it was a good indicator of the team's position on the mental plane.
The Lakers will be back tomorrow in Phoenix to face the Suns. If they show the same fight they fought against Milwaukee, they should be in good form, but as fans are learning this season, nothing is guaranteed with respect to this team.
