Despite the division's decision in recent years, Cleveland has not yet dominated the Twins. Since the beginning of 2015, they have a total record of 45-44 against Minnesota. As for matches played in Ohio during this period, the Twins have the advantage, registering a 23-21 record after this game.

Gibson was removed from the game early, but the waiter whitened the Indians in more than five rounds of work. For almost a month now (since June 14th), Minnesota rescue teams have had an impressive run and now have a life of 2.91 in this period. They were once again at the head of Taylor Rogers, who has once again made six saves and is still experiencing a historic season. It was also the first time since 1990 that a Twins reliever made six back-to-back stops or more.

Difficult beginners
Mike Clevinger was heading for a 1-2-3 run in front of first base, but Nelson Cruz had other plans. He crashed a circuit of two solo races in the center of the field, on a low stitch, to put the Twins on the board. Although he only allowed one run in the first half of the match, the Tribe starter struggled to get himself out. The formation of the Twins led him to nearly 70 pitches to complete the first four runs.

Gibson also had to sweat early. In fact, he traveled the ranks of the Indians during his first stint in order, removing eight of them, yielding only one in the first to Oscar Mercado. The difficulty came in the second time, when he gave up a home run to lead the fourth, and then went into a traffic jam. Cleveland took his first lead with a single to two, two-point Roberto Pérez. The two marked races were not won because of an error in launching Ehire Adrianza.

After beating number nine forward Greg Allen, hitting 80 shots, Gibson finished his game of the night. Not to mention his "opening" start against the Rangers last Sunday, nor his relieved return to the Rays on June 27, it was Gibson's shortest start since September 29, 2017.

Clevinger played around a simple Luis Arráez, followed by a double of Miguel Sanó. Although the Twins did not score a goal, the fifth run was enough to allow the Indian to leave the match before he could record an exit in the sixth.

The attack takes hold of its difficulties with a rally
With runners trapped by Clevinger in fifth, the Twins have fallen to .233 with the men in scoring since early July, making it the seventh worst place in the major leagues. The numbers did not improve after Cruz and Marwin Gonzalez reached the sixth goal without conceding a goal, with one against Mitch Garver, author of a double game against reliever Adam Cimber.

But Max Kepler started the Twins Rally in seventh place in an exciting way. With two men and two outs, the world's tallest German hit the right ground and was called to start. But Rocco Baldelli challenged him and the call was rejected, allowing Sanó to score in third place. Immediately after, at bat, Jorge Polanco hit a clutch, doubling the bases and the Twins took over the advantage.

It did not stop there. The Cleveland pen could not stop the Bomba Squad and Garver marked his 14th birthday of the year, opening the eighth place, adding a new insurance race and giving the game its final numbers.

With this victory, the Twins improve to 57-33 and now have six and a half games ahead of the Indians at the top of the division. They will bring Jake Odorizzi to face Jake Bauers tomorrow.
