Kanard Thomas, "Call My Name" – Grade: C- | Kanard started his Weeknd cover quite abruptly, which reinforces my belief that there are enough good singers in the series. There is no need to bring back someone who has not sufficiently impressed the coaches to go beyond his audition. But I have to give credit to the deadline: it has improved over the numbers, hitting a few strong and nice patches here and there. Nevertheless, the general impression he had was: "Hey, go on."
LB Crew, "Electric Feel" – Grade: C + | You will remember, LB is a former member of the Adam team who was defeated in the Live Cross Battles by Jej Vinson of the Kelly team. Now, I was excited to hear it, because I actually thought he would be ahead of Jej in their cross-battle. Here, though … well, it was not necessarily the best song choice for him; it was terribly sinuous. However, this allowed him to remember what great voice he had, even though he sometimes used it to sound like he was having trouble spitting a ball of hair. Certainly the best of both.
