If, like many of us, you've missed Google's inbox since it closed last year, Darwin Mail may be replacing Google's inbox. The service works with your Gmail account to bring to your inbox many of the best features of the inbox.
Specifically, the service allows you to repeat your emails, includes a dark mode, custom backgrounds, a sending cancellation feature, reminders and email templates that you can use to earn time when you send the same message over and over. again.
You know, all those things that you love in Inbox and you miss now that they're gone. My favorite feature: There is a flip-flop at the top of your inbox where you can briefly escape "Zero Inbox" when your inbox gets too heavy.
Rather than downloading an application or installing a Web extension, you access Darwin Mail by logging in through the Darwin website with your Google Account information.
Darwin says that he does not store any of your data on his servers. As a result, when you sign out, all your emails are with you. In addition, it will never record, distribute or sell your personal data to third parties. The service is hosted over an HTTPS connection where all communications are encrypted.
Beyond all these added features, Darwin looks and feels almost identical to traditional Gmail. By connecting, I could not really tell the difference between the two. If I was not personally logged into my account with Darwin, I would have easily been able to assume that it was a traditional Gmail account with a slightly different appearance.
