LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Target wants to help the planet by taking old car seats.
From April 22 to May 4, Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including baby seats, harnesses, booster seats and even stale or damaged seats.
Target will recycle the materials and offer you a 20% discount coupon on another car seat, stroller or other baby item of choice.
The company said the drop boxes would be located near customer service, where customers can collect their coupon.
The retailer claims to have recycled more than half a million car seats since the launch of the program in 2016.
Recycled car seat materials will be used to create new products.
