Red Dead Online Daily Challenge Streaks will reset every 28 days

In the wake of news that Red Dead Online will be getting an inexpensive standalone edition, Rockstar has announced that it is changing the way Daily Challenge sets work. When the standalone version arrives, the Daily Challenge Streaks will reset every 28 days, providing players with an RDO $ bonus and a treasure map.

Maintaining an unbroken streak of daily challenges has been a reliable way for Red Dead players to earn Gold, the in-game currency of Red Dead Online which is also available for purchase for real money in the form of Gold Bars. gold. By logging in and completing at least one Daily Challenge each day, players could maintain a healthy reward multiplier, which capped at 2.5x at 28 days.

From December 1 this will change. Instead of keeping that 2.5x multiplier, players will have their streak reset on day 28 and will have to rebuild it from scratch. In fact, that means a lot less gold to complete Daily Challenges, and players – many of whom have maintained their streak for hundreds of days – aren’t satisfied.

“Why the hell would @RockstarGames discourage gamers from playing a game that lacks replayable content on a daily basis?” asks the curator of the Twitter account of the online community Red Dead, in a tweet sharing the in-game ad. “Wouldn’t it make more sense to reduce the gold earned through the dailies (which is true, is the reason they do this) rather than encouraging people not to play the game? What a weird move.

Players on Reddit aren’t any happier.

Good job by F # cking Rockstar .. from RedDeadOnline

The general consensus is that Rockstar is trying to steer players toward buying gold rather than cultivating it with the Daily Challenge Multiplier, which seems plausible given that the Red Dead Online standalone mode is priced at just 5. USD.

Other players have suggested that this could mean that Rockstar has plans for new playable content for the Western game’s multiplayer mode. Time will tell – but it has taken a huge clown protest to get things done on this front in the past.

We reached out to Rockstar to comment on this issue and will update this story with new information.
