This week’s Red Dead Online weekly update has gone live, and for players looking to explore the wilderness or spend time by the lake, the next two days are shaping up to be particularly rewarding. Developer Rockstar Games has detailed all of this week’s updates and more in a new blog post that you can read for highlights below.
Naturalist awards
Naturalists can double the cash and XP rewards on all sample sales this week, plus an additional bonus of 100 Varmint Sedative Rifle rounds and five Animal Revivers on all Legendary Animal Samples. For players wanting to explore the more natural side of Red Dead Online, a free healing package that includes one Potent Herbivore Bait, Potent Predator Bait, and three special Lake Lures will also be available.
The retail price of the Naturalist’s Sample Kit is also reduced, with players able to withdraw five gold bars from this gear. Completing a Wildlife Photographer Tour will result in a 40% reduction on the Advanced Camera, and bringing skins to Gus Macmillan for him to transform into clothing and knickknacks will result in a 50% reduction in the cost of outfits below. row 15.
Fisherman bonus
Free Roaming Fishing Challenges will allow players to double their cash and XP rewards. The frequency of these challenges will be increased this week, and by visiting the Butcher to unload any fish you caught, you will receive a 50% cash bonus on all sales.

Rockstar has announced that anyone who connects their Rockstar Games Social Club account to Prime Gaming will be able to start a career as a bounty hunter and outfit their wagon with a new livery:

Red Dead Redemption 2 has become one of Rockstar’s biggest hits since launching in 2018 and has sold over 36 million copies so far.
