A Red Dead Redemption 2 concept art shared by the former senior art director of Rockstar was discovered two months after its publication.
A previously unknown concept art album for Red Dead Redemption 2 was uploaded to ArtStation by former Rockstar designer Daren Bader. The album was released two months ago, but was only recently discovered by user deadasdisco on the GTAForums website.
Uploaded by the former senior art director, the album showed an interesting perspective on the creative process behind one of Rockstar’s best games. the Red Dead Redemption 2 art collection gave fans a taste of the game’s early character and location designs. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the most popular game for digital photography, so seeing the first concept art feels like an exclusive interview.

Unfortunately, the ArtStation album linked to the GTAForum post has been deleted. The album itself doesn’t show anything that changes the game, but the gorgeous concept art has been tagged with names that could have been features of the game. On the one hand, there are two images that when uploaded, would be recorded as “cliff climbing”. This may have been a feature of the original story gameplay Red Dead Redemption 2. The album also shows the first creations of some characters, the most important being Arthur Morgan.
Finding the first concept of the main character Arthur Morgan is an exciting discovery for Red Dead Redemption 2 Fans. Other images of Colonel Henry Favors and two other gentlemen were also found alongside the main character. Despite the praise for its single player campaign, it was left behind by the developers for its multiplayer counterpart. Red Dead Online distracted rockstar’s attention of the single player campaign. Rockstar supported the Red Dead Online community with dedicated servers, similar to GTA Online.
Knowing that Rockstar has no plans to create a DLC for single player campaigns, anything new Red Dead Redemption 2 the tradition is well received by the fans. Although the album has since been deleted, some artistic concepts have thankfully been shared on the website and recorded by users who are discovering. The early concept art is interesting to watch, especially when compared to the final versions of the characters and locations. Fans crossed their fingers for an art book by Rockstar, to showcase the amazing concept art and work that came from it. Hopefully such an album and art book will be released in the future.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions coming in 2021.
