It's no secret that the original Breath of nature was inspired to some extent by Skyrim and the Old scrolls series but according to a new interview with IGN, a different game motivates some of the younger members of the team to Breath of nature 2.

"Something & I heard that many people were playing was Red Dead Redemption 2The director of the series, Eiji Aonuma, told IGN.

So if that's the case, what does it mean exactly for the future? What could we take from Red Dead Redemption 2 which could help inform the decisions taken to Breath of nature 2?

Although I can not imagine that Link will soon need to hunt cannibals from undergrowth, I can see some things about Red Dead which could be used in a game like Breath of nature.

Some things I can imagine:

  • A kind of camp system that Link can move, use to rest, relax and eventually interact with other NPC characters.
  • Some sort of food and beverage system to replenish it, in addition to health level and endurance counters (I hope they will not do it).
  • Random world events like the one you met Red Dead they are not official "quests", but interesting entertainment anyway.
  • Perhaps the idea that Red Dead 2 was actually a prequel Red Dead 1 It's pretty hard, but with all of Zelda's strange timelines, it's hard to say.
  • Maybe changes to the weapons durability system will not make your weapons crash and be thrown away, but will need to be cleaned / sharpened as in Red Dead.
  • A greater attention to history perhaps, because it has never really been the fort of Zelda, and it is obviously this Red Dead 2 does the best.

These are just a few guesses, but obviously with a game as awesome as Red Dead Redemption 2there is a lot to learn from this. Even if you are on the Breath of nature 2 the team when the original was one of the best games of this generation (and better than RDR2, in my opinion, certainly).

It seems likely that Breath of nature will not be published until at least 2021, but we may not need to wait as long as usual because the engine and some of the original assets will be reused instead of starting all over again, as usual. I can not wait, and see how red dead could have inspired him to go even better, somehow.
