Well, the Boston Red Sox may find their shape in New York.
The Red Sox lost 8-1 to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, settling for a division of their four-game series at Fenway Park. The Boston offense was only four hits, one day after scoring seven times against the modest Orioles.
Hector Velazquez started the Patriots Day game and lost after conceding a point on two hits and four walks in three sets. The right-hander did-all had only one withdrawal.
Marcus Walden, Heath Hembree and Tyler Thornburg allied to give seven points in relief.
Boston's only positives came on the pitch. Receiver Christian Vazquez started at second base and first baseman Steve Pearce made a very good game in the left field.
The Red Sox dropped to 6-11 with the loss, while the Orioles improved to 6-11 with the win.

GAME IN A WORD
Anemic.
The Red Sox attack did nothing against Dan Strailey and Jimmy Yacabonis, while the pitch of the team did not inspire much.
ON THE BUMP
– Velazquez did his thing with Velazquez – three very good runs – and did enough to keep his team in the game.
The only right-handed race came with a single RBI by Renato Nunez.
– Walden threw a scoreless fourth goal but collapsed to fifth place, allowing three runs on two shots, including a two-run run from Dwight Smith Jr.
– Colten Brewer worked around two hits to launch a scoreless sixth round.
– Brandon Workman continued his good season with a perfect seventh place finish.
– Hembree gave Chris Davis a two-run homer in the eighth inning.
– Thornburg was manhandled in the ninth, giving two runs on two hits and a walk.
IN THE BATTERY BOX
– Not much to write here, if we are honest.
– The only round of the Red Sox was started in the fifth inning when Xander Bogaerts scored on a kicking kick by Steve Pearce.
– Bogaerts (1 for 4), J.D. Martinez (2 for 4) and Rafael Devers (1 for 2) had the only hits for the Red Sox.

Despite the loss, it was a beautiful marathon Monday at Fenway Park.
