Redskins Sign Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

COUNT OF LOUDOUN, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have hired cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Rodgers-Cromartie (6-2, 203) is an eleven year old veteran who joined the league as the No. 16 choice by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2008 NFL draft. He participated in 160 career regular season games with 121 starts.

Rodgers-Cromartie has played in at least 15 games in nine of his 11 seasons in the NFL. He recorded 30 career interceptions for a total of 535 yards in the regular season, in addition to 451 tackles (394 solo), 146 assists, 2.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

In the playoffs, he played in all ten games and recorded three interceptions for 13 yards, 35 tackles (34 solo) and 15 assists.

For the 2018 campaign, he scored 8 tackles (8 solo) in seven games for the Oakland Raiders.

In 2017, Rodgers-Cromartie played 15 games, including seven for the New York Giants. He scored 48 tackles (31 solo), a defense pass, 0.5 sacks and his four defeat tackles were a career high.

At the end of the 2015 season, Rodgers-Cromartie set a career high with 58 tackles (52 solo), while recording three interceptions that culminated in his second selection at the 2009 Pro-Bowl.

Rodgers-Cromartie played collegially in the state of Tennessee. In 2007, he was selected from the US selections of the FCS.

Rodgers-Cromartie, 32, attended Lakewood Ranch H.S. in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on April 7, 1986.
