The remains found in a remote part of Oregon would be those of the missing Hollywood actor, Charles Levin, who portrayed Mohel in a 1993 episode of "Seinfeld".

The 70-year-old comedian was missing from Grants Pass on July 8 by his son, The Oregonian / Oregon Live, reported Sunday.

A resident on Saturday found Levin's car, a 2012 orange Fiat, on an isolated, almost cut-off road.

Soldiers found the remains of Levin's tawny pug, Boo Boo Bear, inside the vehicle.

Crews that roamed the steep terrain have found human remains, and there is a "high probability" that they are Levin, said Sunday the Ministry of Public Safety Grants Pass.

No further details have been given and the forensic pathologist will proceed to the final identification.

Born in Chicago in 1949, Levin was known for his recurring role as Elliot Novak in the CBS sitcom "Alice", aired from 1976 to 1985.

He also portrayed Mohel cutting part of Jerry's finger in the episode "Seinfeld" "The Bris" and Coco, the gay cook, in the pilot project of "The Golden Girls".

His films include "Annie Hall", "The Golden Child" and "This is Spinal Tap".
