Parks and Recreation The co-creator, Mike Schur, does not exclude a return to Pawnee, but he would have certain conditions to fulfill before signing a possible renewal.
"I think in the world we live in now, nothing is ever gone," Schur told a PaleyFest roundtable on the 10th anniversary of the show on Thursday night. Schur added, "Everyone on this stage – and like six other people – should have the feeling that there was a story to tell.
"There was nothing I liked more than working on the show. I would never never say, "Schur continued. "The opportunity to do it again, if at all, would be incredible. But I think we would only do it if we all felt that there was a compelling reason to do it. … [Each cast member] would have a veto. If only one person says, "No," we would not do it. "
Schur went on to note, however, that NBC's comedy served its purpose, noting that Parks and Rec "Had a debate to be done, and the debate was about team work and friendship, optimism and … the belief of the power of the public service and the fact that if you work hard and that you believe in your people, team, that good things are possible.
