A congressman from Texas asks Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to apologize for her claim that Senator Ted Cruz “almost had me murdered” during the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

Spokesmen for Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez did not immediately respond to Fox News requests for comment.

Roy, who worked for Cruz in the Senate, disagreed with the Electoral College’s objections led by his former boss and said that Trump “deserved universal condemnation for what was clearly, in my opinion, flawless conduct.” But he said Ocasio-Cortez’s accusations went too far.
“I ask you to ask him to apologize immediately and withdraw his comments,” Roy wrote to Pelosi. “If Representative Ocasio-Cortez does not immediately apologize, we will be forced to find alternative means to condemn this regrettable statement.”
