Report: 2 Counties New Mexico Among Major Oil Producers

The Hobbs News-Sun reports released by the US Energy Information Administration show that Lea County was the second largest oil producer in January, behind McKenzie County, North Dakota.

According to the figures, Lea County produced 14.6 million barrels of oil in January and McKenzie County, with 17.3 million barrels.

At the same time, Eddy County, New Mexico, ranked sixth among the largest oil producers. He produced 10 million barrels in the same month.
