Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said this week the team had made offers to wide receiver Antonio Brown and would “see how it goes” to bring him back for the 2021 season.
So far, that doesn’t seem to go in the direction of a reunion.
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo on Thursday reported that there had been discussions this week between the two sides, but that they had not resulted in progress towards a deal. According to the report, the two sides are not close in terms of how much money Brown would earn this year.
Brown made $ 2 million playing half the season for the Buccaneers last year. He caught 45 passes for 45 catches for 483 yards and four touchdowns in the regular season and eight catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the playoffs.
Brown has heard from other teams as well, but the lack of agreement suggests that no one is throwing the amount of money Brown wants into free will.
