Athens, Ga – G-Day could not have done better for Kirby Smart and his Georgia team. The fourth-year head coach confirmed after the open scrum that there had been no major injuries and that's still good news. He watched at length the two guys competing for the second team's quarterback position, saw 11 newcomers in action and saw his defensive backs defying again and again as the Bulldogs pushed the ball into the field.

The Red team won 22-17, thanks in large part to Stetson Bennett IV's strong second half in passing play and a defense that has racked up six sacks, eight tackles for a loss and an interception that sets up a field goal.

The Bulldogs will now focus on completing the spring semester in class and the finals will be held in early May. Many will have the opportunity to take a few weeks off later this month before returning to Athens for summer courses.

Before all this goes down, we feel the need to prioritize each position unit based on what we saw on the day of the contest and some additional looks. Scroll through the list for a special version of our spring game newsletter.
