Report: Former Eagles Pass Press game coordinator Taylor joins Colts coaching staff

According to MMQB Albert Breer, former Philadelphia Eagles game coordinator Tap Taylor should help fill the Indianapolis Colts vacant position – ironically after the former Colts game coordinator Kevin patullo and he’s basically swapped places this early offseason:

At 33, Taylor has just completed his only season as the Eagles’ passing coordinator, having served as franchise quarterbacks coach (2018-20) and assistant quarterbacks / offensive quality control coach. (2016-17), and offensive quality control coach. (2013-2015) respectively.

He was also a quarterback coach and graduate assistant for Tulsa (2011-12).

Taylor has won back-to-back NJCAA championships starting at Butler Community College as a quarterback before transferring and playing at Marshall University and scoring his last two seasons.

Of course, the Colts head coach Frank Reich already has some familiarity and comfort zone with Taylor, as the two previously served on the Eagles’ offensive coaching staff from 2016 to 2017 and were Super Bowl champions together.

The question for Taylor – and the Colts is who will be the starting quarterback in Indianapolis next season to help frame the team’s passing game.
