Report: iPhone 13 will offer 1TB storage option

Analysts at Wedbush said today that supply chain checks suggest the next-generation iPhone lineup, colloquially referred to as iPhone 13, will feature a premium 1TB storage option for the first time. The current iPhone 12 reaches a maximum capacity of 512 GB.

Financial analysts remain optimistic that Apple iPhone sales will continue to be strong throughout this year amid the post-pandemic “ reopening environment ” as vaccine deployments COVID continues around the world.

Front Page Tech previously reported that the next-gen iPhone 13 lineup will feature a 1TB storage option in January.

When it comes to iOS devices, Apple has currently only offered 1TB of storage on its high-end iPad Pro tablets. In the context of the larger smartphone market, the iPhone lags a bit here. For example, smartphone competitor Samsung started offering 1TB phones with the Galaxy S10 series almost two years ago.

The iPhone 13 line is set to launch this fall, although we still don’t know much about the device’s specs. There have been lingering rumors about the return of high refresh rate Touch ID and 120Hz displays, but nothing particularly concrete.

Until the launch of the iPhone 13 in the fall, analysts at Wedbush remain bullish on the sales performance of the iPhone 12, after Apple’s meteoric vacation quarter of $ 110 billion. The firm estimates around 62 million iPhone 11 units for the March quarter and about 40 million for the June quarter. Analysts compare the success to the record iPhone 6 sales cycle of 2014.
