The Miami Heat picked up a big win to create an NBA free agency on Friday by getting Goran Dragic to agree to re-sign with the team on a lucrative two-year contract.
While one of the squad’s priorities during the offseason has been taken into account, the Heat could be out of the game to retain Jae Crowder.

Crowder was instrumental in the team’s success in their playoff run in Orlando, Florida. The veteran forward has proven to be a valuable role player down the stretch, as he has won numerous times, especially with his outside shot.
The 30-year-old had one of the best playoffs of his NBA career averaging 12.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 21 starts for the Heat.
In addition to posting solid numbers, Crowder also shot 40.3% from the ground and 34.2% from beyond the arc.
It will be interesting to see if Pat Riley and the company see Crowder as a vital piece of the championship puzzle or if he’s up for it.
