According to information, LeBron James will not change his jersey number during the next season, as previously planned, for lack of Nike's approval.

However, Yahoo's Chris B. Haynes reported Friday that the change of jersey would not happen. Haynes reported that the application was received after the March 15th deadline. The league would have allowed the change if Nike manufacturer had approved it, but this is not the case, citing a major financial loss.
According to ESPN, Nike could lose "more than tens of millions of dollars" thanks to LeBron James jerseys No. 23 Lakers already produced.
