Report: Raiders Turn Down Commercial Offers for Carr

While there are rumors that the Las Vegas Raiders could trade quarterback Marcus Mariota, there has also been talk of the possibility of Derek Carr being traded.

Carr’s brother, however, says the QB will not be dealt with. David Carr, who works for the NFL Network, said there was interest in his brother, but the Raiders turned down offers for him.

It is unclear what these offers looked like for Carr.

The Raiders turning down offers for Carr could mean several things. Either they don’t want to part with their QB, or they haven’t received an offer that would interest them. According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Carr is not available for trade, which means that while the offers are reasonable, the Raiders are unwilling to budge.

The 29-year-old has been a staple in the Raiders’ offense since his 2014 draft. He pitched for a career-high 4,103 yards and 27 touchdowns in the 2020 season, but the Raiders inconsistencies ended up with the team finishing 8-8.
