SEATTLE – The New Orleans Saints have again signed quarterback J. T. Barrett to the coaching team, according to a report by Tom Pelissero of NFL.com.

The report came just hours after starting quarterback Drew Brees had opted for a sore tendon operation on the tendon of the thumb on the throwing hand. Brees surgery is Wednesday.

The Saints recently resigned to Barrett on August 1, just days after the start of training camp. After the saints abandoned him, the Seattle Seahawks signed him on August 10 and then on August 31.

Barrett did not leave the state of Ohio in 2018 and went to the Saints minicamp rookie. The Saints signed it for the first time on May 3, 2018, then 23 times he was cut and re-signed in the training team last season.

SEATTLE – New Orleans Saints gave up second-year defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth.
