Giants head coach Joe Judge said running back Saquon Barkley had x-rays to his injured ankle after leaving Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, but did not update his condition as he said he did not know the results.

A report released Sunday night shed light on Barkley’s condition. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that Barkley suffered a sprained ankle and will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury.

Rapoport adds that the injury is likely to keep Barkley out of next Sunday’s game against the Rams and will be considered week-to-week for now.

Devontae Booker, Gary Brightwell, Elijhaa Penny and Cullen Gilaspia are the other backers in the Giants roster.
