Each new major iOS release updates the minimum processor quality required for the upgrade; for example, the next iOS 13 supports only iPhone 6S and iPhone SE or newer. Therefore, the release of the iPhone SE 2 makes perfect sense: it essentially involves capturing the least expensive segment of Apple phone customers before they age with new iOS versions .
The angle of sale
Or, the new iPhone SE 2 could simply be a game to increase sales. IPhone sales fell for the second consecutive fiscal quarter in the second quarter of 2019 – down 17% from one year to the next, according to an Apple call for winnings back in April. But that could be too short-sighted for Apple, which has rigorously kept its devices in the premium category. Release an SE 2 might not help Apple enough in the long run to be useful to release.
