The Chinese technician Huawei will prepare to ship nearly 225 million devices already operating on HongMeng or Ark OS by October 2019 after the ban of Android due to sanctions imposed by the US administration.
According to reports quoted by the Business Times, Huawei will focus on the HongMeng operating system equipment for the budget smartphones division, while the flagship devices will have to wait a little longer because the operating system of the company does not yet have a large ecosystem of applications.
A recent report from Rosenblatt Securities revealed that Huawei had already delivered about 1 million devices preloaded with the HongMeng operating system. According to the report, Huawei's proprietary operating system will be compatible with all Android applications and preloaded devices will have enhanced security features to optimize the protection of the user's personal data.
According to Huawei's Richard Yu, the company's proprietary operating system is ready for installation on all devices. The Business Times announced that Huawei had collaborated with Tencent and performed several tests on its proprietary operating system with several other smartphone manufacturers, such as Oppo and Vivo. One of its sources claimed that Ark's operating system was 60% faster than Google's Android.
Huawei was found in the line of fire when the administration of Donald Trump banned the use of Chinese company technology, preventing US companies, including Google, from trading with the company without the approval of the government.
The United States has accused Huawei of exploiting cyber infrastructure on behalf of the ruling Communist party, while threatening to curb intelligence cooperation with any country that allows Huawei's equipment to be used on its own networks. The Chinese technology giant flatly denied all accusations.
