Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. is expected to miss several games due to NBA health and safety protocols related to COVID-19, according to multiple reports.
The Athletic first reported that Porter would miss Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns as the Nuggets conducted contact tracing.
The Denver Post reported that Porter’s contact tracing began on Thursday.
Porter, 22, is the Nuggets’ second-leading scorer and rebounder in their first four games this season, averaging 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds.
The third-year forward took on a bigger role with the Nuggets, who lost leading wingers Jerami Grant and Torrey Craig in free agency before the season.
