JANESVILLE, Wisconsin – Wisconsin representative Bryan Steil announced on Sunday evening that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a press release, the Republican congressman said he was exhibiting “mild symptoms” and contacted his health care provider while at home in Janesville.
Steil said he was following CDC guidelines and would be quarantined, starting immediately.
“I will continue to serve the people of Southeastern Wisconsin from my home in Janesville,” Steil said in a statement.
The congressman did not say if he knew how he got infected with the virus.
