Representative Nicole Malliotakis, R-NY., Criticized Gov. Andrew Cuomo as a “ hypocrite ” Thursday after a 2018 tweet from the governor about the sexual assault allegations of Judge Brett Kavanaugh resurfaced.
In the 2018 tweet, Cuomo asked why Kavanaugh wouldn’t take a lie detector test and called on President Trump to ask him to do so after Dr Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexual assault before his confirmation to the Supreme Court.
In “America’s Newsroom,” Malliotakis, who previously called on Cuomo to resign amid explosive allegations of cover-up of deaths in nursing homes, said the governor had to give “a lot of answers” after a former aide to the Cuomo administration alleged that Cuomo sexually harassed her.
When asked whether or not Cuomo should take a lie detector test himself, Malliotakis replied “he absolutely should”.
“The governor is a hypocrite, these are rules for you but not for me,” Mallitokais said, recalling when Cuomo said there should be zero tolerance for such allegations in the state of New York when a member of the assembly was charged in 2013.
“These new allegations make it more difficult for the governor.”

Lindsey Boylan, former assistant secretary for economic development and special adviser to the governor, said Cuomo was constantly looking for her and had staff members set up meetings with her, where he made inappropriate comments.
Several ongoing investigations continue to probe the impact of Cuomo’s directive from last March for nursing homes to admit patients with COVID-19, resulting in thousands of assisted living deaths.
