Republic Teaser: Everyone is corrupt!

The author of Prasthanam and Vennela, director Deva Katta, invented a political drama called Republic. The movie teaser has been released. The teaser stays honest with the topic and sticks to its genre.

It starts with George Orwell’s quote on politics and how it relates to people’s lives. Next, the teaser begins with Sai Tej’s voiceover on democracy and its declining institutions. The protagonist says that we live in a feudal system. He also says that the judiciary and the people have become slaves to the rulers. These are certainly hard-hitting dialogues from Deva Katta.

Looks like Sai Tej is a bureaucrat in the movie. Ramya Krishna is considered a political leader fighting elections. The teaser is a bit preachy but it is aimed at an audience passionate about politics. Mani Sharma’s background score is business as usual. Overall, the teaser ends with a line. “Vyavastha Punadhule Corrupt Ayinappudu, Andaru Corrupt Ye Sir”
