The Resident Evil Village voice actor has sadly passed away at the age of 39.
Actress and screenwriter Jeanette Maus, who voiced a number of characters in Capcom’s upcoming film Resident Evil Village, tragically passed away. Maus is the voice of one of Lady Dimitrescu’s “daughters” who make up the Dimitrescu house. Maus, who is also a theater teacher and trainer, appearing in Charme City Kings and Lynn Shelton’s Your sister’s sister, died last Sunday of colon cancer. She was only 39 years old.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maus also had Crohn’s disease and unfortunately also contracted COVID-19 in which a GoFundMe page was set up for Maus to help pay his medical bills. At the time, the actress was being treated at City of Hope in Los Angeles and “was making great strides in removing tumors.” She was undergoing a combination of chemotherapy and treatments using a machine called the Molecular Enhancer. The tragic news of Maus’s passing was confirmed on Facebook by her fiancé, Dusty Warren, in which he sadly wrote:
“It is with a broken heart but grateful that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night due to complications from cancer,” Warren continued. “I’m really sad, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with incredible grace and optimism, inspiring me and I’m sure many of you.
Capcom also took to social media yesterday to confirm the tragic news of Jeanette Maus saying that they were “deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring many different characters into the world, including our witches, in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. “

DualShockers would like to say that our thoughts and sympathies are with the friends and family of Maus at this terrible time.
