Resident Evil Village leaks find their way online, so beware of spoilers

Resident Evil Village will officially release in May, but it looks like major leaks are starting to creep up on the internet early on. So be forewarned in the future as there are now spoilers on the net. As reported by Eurogamer, Capcom is recording videos online with leaks from Resident Evil Village. These are not just clips from The Maiden Resident Evil Village demo, but entirely new scenes featuring encounters with the popular Lady Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

These leaks, which we won’t go into detail here, are believed to be from a developer version of Resident Evil Village, likely related to the massive Capcom data hack.

Last November, Capcom suffered a massive ransomware attack from a group called the Ragnar Locker hacker group. The hackers claimed to have stolen a wealth of information, including internal files and documents, and demanded a bitcoin ransom of $ 11 million.

The company’s upcoming release schedule and potentially 390,000 personal details would have been compromised. Despite this, Capcom said the attack had “limited impact” and an investigation into the damage was underway.

That said, fans looking to stay safe from Resident Evil Village spoilers should be very careful going forward. Leaks for major video games have apparently increased in recent years, as parts of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us Part 2 both leaked ahead of official release dates.
