WESTLAND, me. – Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that ravaged an apartment complex in Westland on Thursday morning.
Authorities said around midnight Thursday apartments in Westwood Village near Joy Road and North Hix Road caught fire. Three buildings, which included a total of 36 units, were damaged by the fire.
The apartment complex was evacuated early Thursday morning and no injuries have been reported so far.
The blaze appeared to be extinguished Thursday morning, but fire crews continued to tackle “hot spots” around the complex.
