The Division 2 is a game about a second chance for a fictional post-apocalyptic world and a second chance for the developer and the publisher who created it.
The Division, a game about publishing a version of smallpox in the form of weapons, devastating the human population, and the men and women struggling to maintain what's left of the united world, had to Huge promises when it came out in March 2016. A huge band of Manhattan, where the action took place, was a technical marvel. The relative simplicity of a cover-based shooter was perfectly matched to a fairly complex RPG-style game system and system to justify spreadsheets for players wishing to introduce themselves into the bad herbs on percentages and chances.
The Dark Zone, the division's original format for player-to-player activities, has also integrated the game between players and NPC to create a unique offering that combines the type of player who grieves in games like DayZ and the Dark Souls series. , with a cooperative game. for collective security against other players and to cope with difficult opponents of NPCs.
The value proposition of looters like The Division and Destiny, or similar loot games like Diablo, ultimately rests on the strength of their content at the end of the game, or what the players have to do. again and again in their quest for higher booty. It is partly here that the bottom has fallen from The Division. All those who were not passionate about PvP and ready to brave the Dark Zone's savagery quickly ran out of things to do in the Division once the storytelling campaign was over. The weaknesses and imbalances of the game's combat systems also become evident once the players settle down in the long run.

Massive Entertainment continued to develop new content after the extensions planned for downloadable content and continued to tweak the core systems of the game until in December 2017, with the release of Update 1.8 , the division had a plethora of game content and refined and refined mechanisms to meet the needs of veterans. players, who returned to the game in large numbers.
In developing the sequel, Massive and Ubisoft took as a base the solid development that continued during the first game and made the wise decision not to repair what had remained uninterrupted. Division 2 is a rock-solid ground-based shooter with hundreds of hours of gameplay, shiny cover-based shooter gameplay, improved loot and gear systems, and intelligent evolution of the Zone. dark.
What you will like
Smart Enemies
Living or dying in the Division Series is like using the cover smartly and watching the flanks. The enemies of The Division 2 do not facilitate this easy task, sometimes traversing appreciable distances, to try to find and turn a flank, aggressively using grenades to chase the targets from the cover and establish an effective suppression shot.
Divisional Agents have a multitude of gadgets – such as automatic weapon turrets, drones and moving floor mines – that can usually turn the tide, no matter how dense a solo agent is. Creative thinking and the right skills will save you trouble if you're always cold. Division 2 will charge you if you do not fight hard.
Freedom of character is built
The characters are not married to a specific class type or role in The Division 2, which is one of the highlights of the series. By exchanging skills, equipment and weapons, players can change their agent to take the role that suits them. This freedom keeps the game in a group, as agents can take turns to play the role of principal. damage, squad healer or heavily armored officer who takes the point and sets the line of battle.
When final-stage players deserve specializations with unlocked skills-related trees, they can switch between these powerful builds and retain the same freedom to choose a variety of combat roles. Division 2 never locks players in a skill path and limits their choices.
Massive amounts of content
Three factions besiege the capital. The Hyenas are former gangbangers who talk about things like putting up boxes of asthma meds to explode when someone picks them up. True Sons are old soldiers who go crazy with a penchant for dropping chemical weapons on people who could carry the deadly virus. The Outcasts, stranded on Roosevelt Island during the outbreak in hopes of preventing the spread of the virus, have burst onto the continent and want revenge by burning everything.
The city must be recovered from these factions and it seems that Massive was inspired by Ghost Recon Wildlands and the Far Cry series to design the voluminous amount of open world content that defines the fight. Washington, DC is constantly populated with random activities such as faction and survivor protest fights, propaganda broadcasts to disrupt or public executions to prevent, to name a few.
Areas of the city can be pacified by taking over enemy checkpoints. Stocks of food, water and building materials are spread throughout the city. The distribution of these resources to allied checkpoints provides bonuses for detecting opponents and cleaning up the materials needed for manufacturing. When an area is pacified, the player is rewarded with supply drops. There is always something to do and a good reason to do it.
Dark areas that are right for new players
The basic mechanics to find a "tainted" loot that must be transported out of the Dark Zone before being added to the players inventory, and the ability to kill other players and to steal their equipment is still at the heart of the Dark Zone in The Division 2
While having the right equipment and skills to face the killers of accomplished players was an obstacle to the enjoyment of the Dark Zone in The Division, Massive created three Dark Zones for The Division 2, which alternate between "normalized" statistics. And balance the players and compete fairly, or keep the level and equipment benefits for a more brutal PvP experience. While the weapon and equipment capabilities remain intact in a dark area where normalization is active, a lower-level character could, hypothetically, beat a player to the maximum level when normalization is active in a dark area.
An incredible map space
Once again, Massive created a huge part of a big American city and did a fantastic job. Anyone who has spent a decent time in Washington, DC, will recognize the architecture and the major landmarks. During a mission that took place in one of the city's museums, a friend described an exhibition in the real-life museum that they hoped to see in the game. We turned a corner and ran into said exhibition, arranged almost exactly as they remembered it.
It is almost painful to think in detail that Massive has put in the construction of some of the amazing scenery of The Division 2, like Roosevelt Island. A single mission brings the players to the island. Although this mission is repeated several times during the search for equipment, I do not know if the players will stop one day and will study the smallest details of the island to really appreciate the know-how that it took to build.
Soundtrack
The eclectic nature of the score sometimes slips into stupidity and certainly does not lack character. It is populated with songs that resemble 1980s pop songs, alongside movements that could have come from a John Carpenter horror film at its peak, followed by bass-heavy electro that punctuates some of the best fights of the game.
I appreciated the fact that when I entered The Division 2's main base, I was greeted with the same music as when I returned to The Division Base. It was a nice little touch that brought games closer together.
The end of the game
Once the division's officers cut off the Hyenas, True Threads and Outcasts, the Black Tusk – think of Blackwater with an army of drones in the back – enters the fray and onto a map that perhaps had already gone green with secure checkpoints and supply dumps returned to red. Black Tusk forces roam the streets, fighting over the first three factions as well as surviving militias.
Access to settlements can be lost. The number of field battles on the map increases precipitously. I'm not sure that it's possible to completely pacify the map again, as cleared checkpoints that I would not have actively defended could return to enemy control.
World Tiers, another addition to The Division at the end of the game, enters the final-stage scenario in The Division 2, as does the Gear Score mechanic, an overall measure of the overall quality of an agent's gear. The higher your speed rating, the higher the global level you can activate and the more difficult the fights become. At this point, team play becomes a must. The map is familiar but the level of challenge is very different.
The Dark Zone provides the content of the end of the game in The Division, but all others must wait. There is a ton of end-game content for everyone playing The Division 2, even if they do not want to face the Dark Zones, which become even more difficult when they are sometimes invaded by Black Tusk.
Easy to find allies and clan support
Whenever a player is killed in the open world or on mission, he may initiate a call for backup before reappearing. Other players may choose to be alerted when backup calls are made in their immediate area and if they choose to answer the call, they will be added seamlessly to the other players' group. This could prove to be a nice feature for building the community in the long run and serving the native clan support of Division 2, an entirely new feature for the series, with bonuses to unlock as clans progress.
What you will not like
Honestly, not much if you're a fan of the series
There are some persistent audio bugs, such as characters being burned and screaming in pain a minute after they are no longer burning, or dead, and ghosting sounds of boxes opening or closing when you enter or leave an area. I discovered an invisible wall. These are the worst bugs I have encountered and the effect on the quality of the experience is negligible.
Conclusion
Whatever the frustrations and disappointments felt by the fans of The Division, their patience has been largely rewarded with The Division 2. New free content is planned for 2019, as well as the recent history of performance. Ubisoft with versions like Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost. Recon Wildlands fresh for years with new content, I would not bet that The Division 2 is a game of a thousand hours for hard-core players.
Division 2 is surely the game that Division fans wanted to play and that Massive Entertainment wanted to deliver the first time. Good things happen to the waiting division agents.
