Gina Kirschenheiter decided to make a victim impact statement on Wednesday’s edition of Real Housewives of Orange County about her ex-husband Matt, whom she is accused of choking on her and threatening her life.
Matt, 35, pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and false imprisonment charges in connection with the June 22, 2019 incident, with prosecutors saying he “ willfully and unlawfully inflicted bodily harm resulting in a condition traumatic on ” Gina.

Kirschenheiter said she had hopes that her ex-husband would be enlightened upon hearing her statement on the situation.
“ It’s difficult because my desire to make everything happy for my kids always takes precedence over my own feelings, ” she said, “ but I hope if he hears it, that will affect it in a way that will cause change. ‘
She then spoke with some of her fellow cast members about the predicament, “ It’s really sad and I’m trying my best to pretend everything is fine and we’re going to co-parent and we’re great, and we’re in a certain way.

She said she was “ not just going to let Matt brush this off ” and that it was time for him to face the consequences of his behavior.
