The real housewives of the Potomac Stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon recently came to their co-star Ashley Darby’s defense over comments made about her by co-star Candiace Dillard-Bassett.

In June, a fan commented under a video posted to @alltruetea’s Instagram account that showed snippets of the show’s most passionate arguments, saying, “This reel shows how hard Ashley’s mouth has been and is. always reckless. Still, Candiace was the bad guy and ganged up on so many fans. It’s crazy how worse Ashley was in my opinion, but people want to ignore it. I wonder why ???? 🤔 ”

In Dillard-Bassett’s response, she said Darby didn’t have as many negative reactions as she did because she had a lighter complexion.

“Because she has fair skin,” she commented. “There. It was said. I said it. Now let’s see how fast it is moving.

During a conversation with The Jasmine Brand, Bryant and Dixon strongly disagreed with Dillard’s comments.

“It was stupid,” Bryant replied when asked if they thought Dillard’s comments were reasonable or shady. ” I will tell you why. Who has the most shade? Who receives the most negative reactions? Who receives the most hate? This girl or this girl? », Pointing to herself and Dixon.

“And Ashley!” Dixon added. “Ashley has spent three seasons being dragged around by fans and the only reason she has fallen in better fan favor recently is [because] we got to see a different side of her as a mother. So I think people have short memories. Candiace’s memory is a bit short but Ashley has definitely paid her dues.

Bryant and Dixon together host their own podcast, “Reasonably Shady,” described as a “conversational lifestyle podcast that will feature a range of topics for women including dating, relationships, marriage, entrepreneurs, motherhood, style, glamor, current events and more ”in a press release.

The real housewives of the Potomac premieres on Bravo on July 11. Watch the trailer below.
