Richard Sherman was released without bail but with conditions after Thursday’s hearing following his arrest on burglary and domestic violence charges.
His charge of burglary for domestic violence has been downgraded to the offense of criminal intrusion.
He cannot own firearms, cannot use drugs or alcohol, must return to court on request, and has a no-contact order with his stepfather. Sherman will return to court on Friday for a hearing on his four pending torts – malicious mischief, DUI, criminal trespassing (with a designation of domestic violence) and resistance to arrest.

Sherman suffered a minor laceration in the leg area due to contact with the K-9 during his arrest.

According to a 911 caller who identified himself as the cornerback’s wife, Sherman was intoxicated and threatened to kill himself in a confrontation with members of his family.
In the audio recording of the call, which was released Thursday by the Redmond Police Department, the caller described Sherman as “drunk and belligerent” and said he “was threatening to kill himself.”
The caller also testified that the cornerback was “aggressive”, got into a fight with his uncle and “was texting people saying he was going to hang himself”.
King County prosecutors and the sheriff previously obtained an “extreme risk protection order” for Sherman in February, which prohibited him from owning firearms after determining he posed a danger to himself and for the others.
