Rick and morty accidentally leaked the seventh episode of Season 5 long before it first aired! The fifth season of the Adult Swim animated series is now a quarter over after the fourth episode, “Rickdependence Spray” aired on Sunday night. While this episode elicited a huge response from fans due to several of its crazy ideas, apparently some fans in Canada ended up seeing a very different episode from the series as the seventh episode in the series would have been disclosed early.

According to a report from @CNschedules on Twitter, the seventh episode of the season, “Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion” (which also appears to be the episode addressing anime like Voltron as teased in promotional material), was posted via Amazon Prime Video in Canada instead of the fourth episode. It would have been long enough for clips for the episode to air. You can get the details below, but watch out for spoilers for this future episode:

Fortunately, it won’t be much longer before the seventh episode of Season 5 actually and officially airs as “Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion” is currently scheduled to air August 1 on Adult Swim at 11:00 PM EST. If you wanted to catch up with the current four episodes of the season now available, the first episode is now streamed entirely for free on YouTube, and the rest of the season’s released episodes stream on the Adult Swim website with a cable subscription. If you wanted to check out the seasons leading up to all of this, all four seasons of Rick and Morty are now streaming on HBO Max.

The season has now reached its half with the fifth episode coming next Sunday, July 18, and thankfully the season won’t be split into two halves like the previous season. But what do you think? How did you like Rick and Morty ‘s fifth season so far? Let us know all your thoughts on this in the comments!
