"Rick and Morty" Season 4 is on the way!

The hit Adult Swim series is set to return for its fourth season in November 2019, WarnerMedia's New York presentation said on Wednesday.

Season 4 will debut a little over two years after the season 3 finale in October 2017, the longest gap between seasons of the series. More than a year passed between the final of season 1 in April 2014 and the premiere of season 2 in July 2015, while there was almost two years of pause between the end of season 2 in October 2015 and the first episode of season 3 April Fools Day 2017 Season 3 then resumed in July of the same year.

Last May, it was announced that Adult Swim had given "Rick and Morty" an order of 70 episodes, which would bring the series to 101 episodes. This order is part of a new long-term contract signed by the network with creators of the series, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.

The series proved to be a goldmine of opinion for Adult Swim, with the season 3 finale having a score of 3.9 in adults aged 18 to 24 and 3.2 in adults 18 to 34 years in the numbers of Nielsen Live + Same Day, the best odds in the history of the network.

The series follows a scientist of sociopathic genius who drives his grandson, by nature shy, into incredibly dangerous adventures through several verses. Roiland plays Rick and Morty. The series also includes the voices of Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer and Sarah Chalke.
