Ring Black Friday Doorbell Sale 2020: Save Hundreds on Cameras, Lights & More

[ad_1]

This story is part of Holiday gift guide 2020, CNET’s Gift Picks with expert advice, reviews and recommendations for the latest tech gifts for you and your family.

Black friday is only a few days away, but many of the best-selling discounts are already in effect, especially for Amazon’s Ring home security products. From video doorbells to lights and even home security kits, you can find great discounts on each one. (For memory, Best Buy launched its big sale on November 22, while Walmart’s Next Big Sale Begins Tomorrow, November 25, although both have interim deals in the meantime.) These are the best deals we’ve found so far, but before we jump into those, here are some ground rules:

  • Note that many of these are a throwback to Prime Day lows, but there are a few new additions.
  • It’s not impossible that there will be additional bundles and add-ons, but we don’t expect those prices to drop by the end of the year.
  • Note that many of them have already been out of stock for two to three weeks and delivery times are likely to lengthen. However, Amazon devices are rarely “out of stock” – delivery dates will keep getting pushed back in most cases.

Can’t see anything here? Don’t worry – more Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are coming.

Offers available now

The ring offers 1080p live video, motion alerts and two-way voice communication and a feature called Pre-Roll (when someone or something triggers the motion sensor, you can see what happened before that). This offer saves almost 50% off the regular retail price of $ 250 and adds an Echo Show 5 (list price $ 90) to boot.

Note that the Ring Pro does not have a rechargeable battery. If you can’t connect it to the existing doorbell wires at your front door, this isn’t the video doorbell for you. Read our Ring Video Doorbell Pro review.

The Ring Peephole Cam is perfect for apartment dwellers or those without a wired doorbell. It’s super easy to set up and $ 70 is a super welcoming price. If you’re interested in video doorbells in general, this is a great place to start. Read our Ring Judas Cam review.

Ring Alarm is a modular style home security kit, and you can get different arrangements of the kit for great discounts. The five-piece with a free Echo Dot is the best deal, however, at 50% off the list price. You can also get the 14-piece set for an impressive $ 200.

Amazon notes that the stock is low and it looks like this offer will be delivered in December if you order now.

Ring’s Floodlight Cam typically sells for $ 250, so finding the camera for under $ 200 – let alone with a free Echo Show 5 smart display – is a pleasant surprise. This package is perfect for reviving your outdoor security system, whether it’s protecting your home from burglars or simply spying on the raccoons that continue to dump in your trash.

Like the five-part alarm deal above, Amazon notes that stock is low, and it looks like this deal will ship in December if you order now. Read our Ring Floodlight Cam review.
