Apple users were already worried and disappointed by the Ring delay on two HomeKit devices from 2016 to 2018. Amazon then acquired the company early last year and many thought it was the highlight of the success story to support Apple's Smart Home platform. However, Amazon has promised that HomeKit's features will still be available for Video Doorbell Pro and Spotlight Cam last February.

Although HomeKit support may still wait for some time, we should have formal access to Ring products, but an official announcement may be possible at any time. The feature should come via a software update, as will the Arlo Ultra 4K security camera system (review).
Netatmo also announced that its smart video doorbell will be launched with HomeKit support later this year.
