The popular walk, Star wars: Rise of the Resistance, attracts guests every day to Walt Disney World and Disneyland like Star wars fans can’t wait to join the Resistance in an epic battle against the First Order.
However, it’s safe to say that this ride has had its fair share of technical difficulties as it constantly faces extended downtime, especially the Walt Disney World version.

That being said, Disney could finally give the popular attraction a much needed update as a new permit, which you can see here, has been filed. The permit indicates the location of Rise of the Resistance and relates to “general construction”.

While no further information was provided, what we do know is that Disney is preparing to do some type of general construction on the Rise of the Resistance site. This could be for minor updates just to make sure the ride goes smoothly as Rise of the Resistance is not currently listed on the Walt Disney World renovation schedule.
Additionally, should there be any major construction updates, we expect to see more permits filed soon.
Therefore, we suspect that the construction that Disney is about to do will be minor enough that it does not close the attraction.
